Hola Familia! Yo estoy muy animado porque you viaje a Cusco en cinco dias!!! CINCO días!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoo!
Este semana fue muy bien. This week has been very good. I have learned a LOT about teaching and about learning. We are studying past subjunctive in Spanish and it is really confusing...but esta bien I know I will get the language down someday. I am sending some photos of my trip in a separate e-mail I hope you like them!! I was very touched by your e-mail. It is true, we are all very very blessed. I pray for my family every night. I sometimes cannot believe how much we have. We went proselyting to menos activos (less actives) esta Sabado. It was the first time going proselyting without a latino and it was muy dificile. Yo entiendo solomente un poco. Thank goodness we had a member with us. Nevertheless considering we didn´t have much success, there is definitely joy in the work. I felt happy afterwards. I think I understand Spanish quite well until I go out and listen to people speak and for some reason when people speak here they don´t move their lips. It is quite hard to understand...especially when they are old and have no teeth. Now that is tricky. But serioulsy, it was really humbling. The first home we went to they had a little tiny shelf in the front of their home where they had a few items they were trying to sell. Behind that shelf was a couch, two chairs, and a wooden wall with all the cracks covered with plastic tarp. That was their home. Thats it. And then you look around and see they have a pretty decent TV. haha. But this was my first time teaching a family of more than 3 people. It was a family of 6. It was cute we all sang families can be together forever and then the youngest boy read D&C 18:10 for us. We invited them to church, and after much effort they finally accepted. The father is not a member, but we were able to get him to say the prayer at the end of the lesson. It was muy bonita. That was probably my favorite experience of the day. Then, we went to the next house and the lesson went well and after we left I REALLY had to go to the bathroom. I mean it was bad. So we turned around and knocked on their door again and asked if I could use the bathroom. I guess it must have been inspired because Hna. Hoffman got to talk more with the girl and found out that her brother had recently died. Hna. Hoffman was able to relate really well to that and bear testimony of the plan of salvation. So while she was having a great discussion, I was recieving revelation in the bathroom ;) haha
So I leave for CUSCO in 5 days and I am really really really excited!!!! I am flying up there on the Tuesday after conference. And yes Hna. Hoffman and I are going together. We are the only sisters going but there is a TON of Elders going.
And David, that was a little tender mercy for ya :) Happy Birthday buddy! Have fun, remember who you are when you start DATING all those girls :) obey curfew and have sooooooo much fun being 16!! I love you so much!!! }
Clark, keep working hard!
. And thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I love you all so much! Enjoy conference, and don´t eat too much delicious food that mom makes. I will definitely enjoy conference myself. Until CUSCO!!!
