Familia.
CLARK!!!  Argentina Cordoba!!!!!  You must be so stoked!!  I am so happy for you!  You must feel honored to be serving in the same country as your father.  And Ian!  The whole Lindsey family is in South America :)  The best way to prepare for the mission is to study the doctrines (I used the word doctrine for a reason) found in the Book of Mormon.  It also helps a lot to study it in the language, which I know you have been doing for the past like year.  You are going to be an extraordinary missionary.  Elder Lindsey...WOW!!!!!!!!!!  Do you spend the full nine weeks in Provo or do you go to another MTC? This experience will change your life.  It is changing mine. Don´t worry, be happy, right?;)

Mom, thanks for your uplifting words! I love you so much!  That is so funny that is what Urubumba means( flat land of the spider).  I can testify that is true. I sent some pictures of the view from the mission home, my baptism on Saturday, and last Pday.  Oh and so every Friday here I, along with other North American missionaries teach English at the church.  I realized I know how to speak English, but I have no idea how to teach the grammar. haha.  Any fun ideas for teaching English as a second language?

So I had my first baptism this week.  Haha.  Hernan was already ready for his baptism when I arrived here, but I got to help finish the final steps. He is 60 years old, and is really cute!!!  It was a fun experience.  I can see the change in his eyes.  We are working with that girl I told you about in my last e-mail, Maribelle and her sister.  We asked her a couple nights ago what her greatest desire in life was, and she said to always be with the missionaries.  I told her she could have the same feelings she has with us when she prays and I was able to testify she has a Father in Heaven who knows her and loves her.

That's another thing.  Dad, I am so grateful to have you as my father.  Most children here don´t have a father to look up to.  Many, if not most of the women in our branch, are single.  I am so proud to have a father who taught me how to have a testimony of this gospel and how to live it.  Thanks for always being there for me.  We are so blessed as a family.  Incredibly blessed.

Saturday we visited a home of a member who hasn´t come to church in a while. He lives in Oytaytambo which is part of my sector.  But he lives way, way, way up in the mountains.  It was the most incredible sight I have ever seen.  The mountains here are AMAZING.  I don´t know how to describe it.  It was so cool.

So, my thought for the week.  I have been thinking of what it means to obtain the word of God like in D&C 11.  Elder Holland said ¨Missionaries cannot teach unless they have the word planted in their hearts¨.  Entonces, when we have planted the word in our hearts through the witness of the holy ghost, we have obtained the word and when we obtain the word and have the spirit, we will have the power of God unto the convincing of men.

I love you all!!!!!!!

Hermana Lindsey
