Dia de reggaeton!

Hola familia!!

Did you all have the opportunity to watch the Christmas Devotional yesterday? I did.  It was really great.  It got me all excited for la Navidad!!!!!!!!!  Mom I got your package this morning.  I can´t wait to open it and I promise I won´t lose this one.  So I am feeling better now.   Thanks for all your emails Mom.   My companion took good care of me and with a good rest I feel better.  We put the Christmas decorations up in our room last night.  It was fun!  We are doing pretty well here in Peru.  Oh yeah, so let me explain the title of my e-mail.  We went yesterday to visit the family of the girl that was baptized last week and we invited them to come and listen to the Christmas Devotional with us.  She is 9 years old.  She asked me if we were going to play games and have treats and my companion answered and said, "No, porque hoy is el dia de re-"...  We awaited the correct response from Ella which is reposo...but instead she said reggaeton!   Haha.  We laughed for like 5 minutes.  So now the Sabbath Day is known as the dia de reggaeton.

Just so you know,  I know from experience now that the transition between English and Spanish in my mind is realllly difficult.  We were surprising one of the Elders in our zone this week for his birthday.  My companion asked me to say something in English so no one else would understand but I guess what I said was Spanish...but I was thinking English.   Haha.  It came out half Spanish and half English...entonces un poco dificile a entender.  Haha.   When I get to talk to all of you on the phone this month- THIS MONTH,  I have a feeling it will be the same.  Good luck trying to understand me.

The work is going along.  We are trying to find new investigators to teach...the ones we have are not progressing because they can´t attend church.  It's frustrating.  But we hope to find new ones soon.  President Calderon is coming to visit and accompany us this week in a couple visits....we´ll see how that goes!  Dad it sounds like you are doing really really well and I know that smiling is always good for the soul,  Mom, my companion wants me to make pancakes but I don´t remember all the ingredients.   Could you send them to me?  Ahah...I know its just pancakes, but usually I used Bisquick in the past!  Oh the life I once had...haha!  No but seriously if you could email me the ingredients, that would be great.  We want to make panckakes and hot chocolate for Christmas.  Oh and I don´t know if it is possible, but I want to learn the stars here, so if Dad could find a chart or something for Peru and attach it...it's because there is like no light pollution here and there are always so many stars!  But I can´t recognize any of them.

Well family don´t freeze in the snow and I will enjoy the sun here!  I love you all very much!!  Thanks for all your support and love.  I love hearing from all of you.  Until next week-

Much love

Hermana Lindsey
