Pass on a Smile!!!

Hola Familia,

Que tal?  Hope everyone is doing well.  I had a great week this week.
I am really seeing the tender mercies of the Lord in the life of my
investigators. What a privilege....I don´t know how to spell
anymore....

To answer your question Dad, I love alfajores, though they are not as
decorated as the ones Clark describes.  But they sure do taste good.
My favorite thing about Peru is they sell Choclo con queso....que
rrrico :)  Corn with cheese.  But like I might have said before, I
can´t remember, the corn is HUGE- not the little pieces of corn in the
states.  Its amazingly delicious. And my favorite plate is called
causa...bueno-- I don´t know if that is how you spell it but it is mashed
potatoes mixed with aji and they put it
in layers...potatoes...vegetables...potatoes...vegetables.  It sounds
so simple but I am serious it tastes so good.  Might be the aji
Also, Quillabamba is Quechua for flat land of the moon. Bamba is
flat land and Quilla is moon.  Urubumba I swear means flat land of the
spiders, though I am not 100% on that.  But I can testify that is what
it should be called, if it is not (haha).
You should be proud of me.  The Elders today threw a fake hamster in my
lap and I didn´t scream.  But it looked SOOO real.  It was freaky.  Don´t
ask where they got it, because I have no idea and I do not want to
know.

Annnnnd timeflies. This week is the last week before changes.  We will
have 4 baptisms this Saturday.  I promise to send pictures.

And mom I got a package from you!!!!!!!!!  THANK YOU so much for the
bug spray.  And everything in there is just what I needed.  Your letter
was super cool.  I love you.

My memory card says SDHC 4 gb.  I don´t know how to tell if it is
micro or what...but that is all it says on my card.

Ahhh! I totally forgot to tell you all!!! So we went knocking on doors
and found a lady that is a devout Catholic but she gained confidence
with us real quick and she wants us to teach English classses in her
school and we got permiso from Pres to go.  We went this last week.  It was SO FUN.  It is a way to get references too. We have gotten a
couple already.  But the teens loved it.  They even were so excited
they prepared songs in English to sing to us.  The director of the
school was so impressed,  he wants to let us come and teach not only English
but a little bit of our message too.  QUE COOL!!!  :)  (haha).  No
sè...we will see how it goes.

Mission life is the best.  Really,  really enjoying everything.  It is
hard, but that doesn´t matter anymore.  I love it.  I know difficult
times will come in the next few months, but I know in whom I have
trusted.  The Lord has blessed me so much in every part of my mission.
The time flies so fast.

With lots of love and good wishes for this week

Hermana Lindsey
