Yeah so I talked to everyone yesterday so I don´t know what else to say except I am sending a lot of photos and the ones with my companion were of the Christmas dinner with the president and the ones of Machu Picchu--one is of the place I told you about that is like a microphone and the other is of the entire city, I think. Machu Picchu was fantastic! It was really special like I told you. There is a really special spirit. It is quiet and I don´t know how to describe it but you can feel something special there. I learned a lot about the manner they constructed the buildings. The stones that are really square are the ones that have nothing in between them. Nothing. They fit perfectly together and they hold up. She said something about the magnetism of the quartz that are in the stones help them stay together but I don´t know a lot about magnetism in rocks...but it sounds cool. The other rocks are more rustic and have mud and stuff to hold them together but the ones that are really neat are the ones that they used for the really special buildings like all the temples. There was one area that was an area for animal sacrifices that had a window set up so in the winter, when the sun would rise, there would come a point where it would shine directly through this window into the area of sacrifices and illuminate the entire room. They knew a lot about astronomy and they used all of their resources...rain, sun, etc. They have a aqueduct system that the water runs through the city in exactly a certain way that when the water comes out it is more clean and it is really really soft. I got to feel it. The way they worked the stone is amazing.
We found out about the changes last night and we don´t have a change so we will be here for another month and a half together!! I am really excited becaue I love her so much.
Mom, Dad, Clark, and David I love you all so much and thanks for talking to me yesterday it was so great.
