A Donde Me Mandes Iré

Hola Familia!!

Wow so much to tell you!  Just when I was getting everything under control with my new companion and with the area, I was in finding new families that are so ready for the message of this gospel, the zone leaders called.  "Hermana Lindsey you have an emergency change" is that how you say it in english? Cambio de emergencia?  Yeah well, I was shocked.  They called me Saturday morning and I left for my new area Sunday afternoon.  One of the Hermanas is sick and needs to be closer to Cusco so I went to go take her place in her area and now she is in Urubumba.  ANNNNd so now I am in Puerto Maldonado---the hottest freaking place on earth.  It reminds me of Corpus Chirsti.  I am sweating every single second of the day...it rains a ton but when it stops it is like we live in a sauna.  There are mangoes everywhere.  I saw like 15 waterfalls on the way here in the bus.  I am living in "Tarzan Land".  I really like it, just hope that I will get used to the heat.  It was supposed to be 12 hours in a bus, but because it iwas raining, there were rockslides.  They had to clear the road before us and so it took 15 hours......UGH I think I only slept for like 4 hours.  I traveled solo.  I hate traveling solo.  But I made it.  I sat next to this guy...the Hermanas told me before I left to be careful with the guys on the bus that are headed to Puerto because they are all a little tooooo friendly (if you catch my drift) and so I sat in my seat next to the window and put my pillow in between me and the next seat.  And lo and behold a guy sat next to me and you know the first thing he said?  "I see you brought your pillow" That's right buddy,  and I am not moving it so "ha".  But it was fine.  I figured if I started talking to him I could find out more and we got talking about religion and stuff and it was just fine.  My new companion is the best.  Hermana Grijalva,  from Guatemala also.  All in all,  I am tired but I am excited to be in a new area and in the heat because I think the cold did some weird things to my body.  But I got bit by some insect.  I don't know what and now my whole entire foot is swollen.  It hurts to walk.  I am wearing sandals to proselyte because my foot doesn't fit in my shoe.  We are going to the doctor right now to get some medicine so I hope it can get better cause I am excited to just start working!

Everything is just fine, but because I arrived here just today, this is my first opportunity to write.  Sounds like Clark is getting anxious to leave and David had a blast at the dance.  I am so happy.  I have to go now but until next week family!!!  I love you all!
